ok.. i dont usually add anything to my photos.. but i went back to my grpahics bg and pulled out the matter texture to go around the photo aswell as made a wood frame for it, but those arnt the focus of this peice , its still about it being a photogrpah, i just added those because if i ever printed it, this is how i would have it mounted and framed
moving on!, for the tech aspects.. the photo was taken on kodak ectochrome slide POSITIVE film on my canon but with no zoom.
(the chrome is why there are blasted out highlights.. plus.. be gentle, it was my first time shooting color anything! much less film in a long time..)
all the norms were altered aswell.. levels brightness & contrast, photo filter for the sepia.. hope u like..
i found this man wandering around and rumaging through trash cans at a local lake, and knew after the one and only photo i took of him that id gotten the shot i wanted, i swear it was a gift from him to me. everyonce in awhile.. we photogrpahers get those
When you talk to a person and relate to them on such a level as you have here, then the image speaks for itself. This man has such a strong voice, he projects through the skin and into the soul. The zigzag of the background talks to me as if it were a zigguarat and birdman is a modern day shaman, with a tree for him to perch in.
This vaguely reminds me of the cover of an Our Lady Peace CD, It's wonderfully expressive

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
